Please read the following policy carefully to understand your rights related to order cancellations, refunds, and personal data deletion.


1. Cancellation Policy

1.1. Customer-Initiated Cancellations

Food Orders

  • Free Cancellation Window: You may cancel your food order within 5 minutes of placing it, provided the restaurant has not accepted or started preparing it.

  • After Preparation Begins: Once the restaurant starts preparing your order, it becomes non-cancellable. Full charges apply.

  • In Transit: If the delivery partner has already picked up your order, cancellation is not allowed, and no refund will be issued.

Grocery Orders

  • Free Cancellation Window: You may cancel grocery orders within 10 minutes of placing them, or until the order status moves to “Packing in Progress.”

  • Post-Packing Stage: After the order enters the packing stage, it is considered final and non-cancellable.

  • Bulk/Custom Orders: Require at least 2 hours’ prior notice for cancellation, failing which partial or full charges may apply.


1.2. Vendor-Initiated Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled by restaurants or vendors due to:

  • Item unavailability

  • High demand or technical errors In such cases, you will be notified and a full refund will be processed.


1.3. System-Initiated Cancellations

Duare Darkar may cancel orders automatically due to:

  • Invalid or unreachable delivery address/contact

  • Payment issues or suspicious activity

  • Repeated failed delivery attempts


1.4. Refund Policy

  • Refund Timeline: Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.

  • COD Orders: Any eligible refunds will be issued to your in-app wallet or via bank transfer upon request.

  • Partial Refunds: Issued for unavailable items in partially fulfilled orders.


2. Data Deletion Policy

We respect your right to privacy and allow you to request full deletion of your account and associated personal data from our system.

2.1. What Will Be Deleted

  • Your profile information (name, email, phone number, address)

  • Order history, saved preferences, and payment details

  • Any unused wallet balance, loyalty points, or promotional credits

⚠️ Note: Certain transaction records may be retained for legal or regulatory purposes (e.g., tax or fraud prevention) as permitted by applicable law.


2.2. How to Request Data Deletion

To delete your account and data:

  1. Visit our website or app and go to the Contact Us page.

  2. Fill out the form with your registered name, email, and phone number.

  3. In the Subject field, enter: "Data Deletion Request"

  4. Submit the request. Our support team may reach out for identity verification.

Upon successful verification:

  • Your data will be permanently deleted within 7 business days.

  • A confirmation email will be sent once the deletion is completed.
